Warehouse Party Seeing The Sharks

Then I went with Tim to see a band called The Sharks. They were actually really good and catchy. They were 18 and over from London. Was neat to goto a little punk rock warehouse show in LA. I havent been to a real show like that in yeaaaars. If you grew up going to shows you know what i mean. Was in a place called Frog Town, which Tim explained to be called frog town because of a flood in the 50′s that made all the frogs in the “river” take over. I say “river” because LA’s idea of a river is a drainage ditch.

Then Dave and I had some tasty Vegan food before he left for tour. I introduced him to the white people crack known as Downton Abbey. Hooked instantly. Also, vegas tacos, hooked instantly. I suggested he check out Spaced now for the road a head.

ANNNDDDDDDDDDD Im now in Vegas for the Party i’m hosting Friday butttt first… 12 years in the making, I finally saw Orgy play live. Oh yeas… Blue Monday, that band. For some reason hold a special place in my heart from being 14 and in looooove for some reason. but being from kentucky i never got the chance to see them because we only had small local shows. so yeap. the aruba hotel. orgy. one night only. haha. i had a great time. was small of course but i knew going in it wasnt going to be Family Values 98, not that i went then, but i did have it on VHS haha.

And I got a picture with Jay Gordon as i was walking to my car. This photo…. man. Says so much. I think i should have been happier when I was 14? But this photo is still epic for my scrap books for so many reasons. Times have changed huh? Guess im getting old. Or i’ve seen enough to not be impressed? I will say this, I was disappointed that they didnt come out before or after thier show to meet fans. I literally was walking to my car and took the photo really quick and he didnt say two words. I guess im more of a “thank your fans because they are the only reason you have a job” kind of approach? Oh well, i’d still see them play again.
